The GRO Foundation is a regulated Swiss Foundation, with the vision to create wealth at a grassroots level through climate action and social impact.
We believe that lasting change starts from the ground up and made it our mission to empower communities to create wealth of their own.
Unlike traditional charity we do not rely on donations. We develop certified projects within the framework of the UN Paris Agreement for Climate Change Mechanism (UN-PACM) in order to sustainably fund, develop and scale projects within the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDG).
We focus on large-scale reforestation to create carbon removal certificates as a source of income to fund water and food security infrastructure and qualifications programs as well as community owned job creation, value addition and industrialization projects.
We are recognized among the top tier of non-profit organizations for environmental and social impact — a distinction achieved by fewer than 5% of Foundations in the European Union.
